Simplify Your Life (Elaine St. James)

100 Ways to slow down and enjoy the things that really matter

Elain St. James gives tips on how we can simplify our household, lifestyle, finances, jobs, health and personal life. She even has special issues for women to simplify one ways. In my own opinion, her advises are very logical to continuously manage a contented life. What we need in this world is not the possession of material things. We must not live to work. But rather live our life. Keep our body and soul healthy. Free our lives from debt and obsession for amassing material things. We need enough time for ourselves to develop our talents, ideas, and abilities and to share enough time with our families and friends.

Five ways to simplify your life.

7 Habits of Highly Effective People ( Stephen R. Covey)

This is a must read book. A wonderful book for personality development and to become a highly effective person in our society. In every point, it has good details that helps a reader follow thoughts of Mr. Covey.

How to Win Friends and Influence People ( Dale Carnegie)

This book is a masterpiece! It’s a collection of the secrets of some successful people in the whole world, on how they approach life to achieve their success.

Rich Dad Poor Dad (Robert T. Kiyosaki)

It is an eye opener about the topic financial independence. It shows perspectives of two fathers, a poor dad and a rich dad. I wish all young people could read this book. So that at the early stage of life someone has this idea on how to achieve financial independence.

Bible (The Word of God)

It is a book of life, The Word of God for his people. The Bible reveals the truth, gives us hope and wonderful promises that can comfort us all through our journey in life.

It reveals the past, shows us how to live the present, and gives us knowledge and hope of the future. The book is full of inspirational stories, upon which we can learn and apply to our lives. For example the story of Abraham, Queen Esther, Jesus Christ, and John the Baptist. Their lives were full of challenges but their faith in God brought them life and honor. The book of Psalm is my favorite. It is full of wisdom and comfort. For example here is my guiding bible verse:

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

The Bible is not only for adults but also for children. My 4-year-old girl loves to listen from Children Bible Story Book, it is her favorite book. She is so inspired to know that the people of God always have their glory. I have seen in here daily child ways, how she tries to reflect lessons from bible stories to her daily ways, sharing her stuffs, helping and caring for the weak children.
