Happy new year to all!

May this year bring us all good health and the positive virtue of hope to keep us optimistic in life.

And of course, I also wish this year more inspiration and a good harvest from the garden.

It is January. While outside is dark and cold, I am having a great time browsing garden books and magazines for more inspiration for the garden season this year.

I want to share my garden checklist for this January:

  1. Research for more knowledge and inspiration for garden ideas.
  2. Set goals for the new garden season.
  3. Draw a new layout rotation plan for my vegetables.
  4. Collect nest boxes for yearly maintenance.
  5. Protect some plants against frost.
  6. Clean and organize garden tools.
  7. Reorganize the garden house.
  8. Sort and prepare seeds for planting.
  9. Plant Paprika seeds indoor.
  10.  Prepare balcony for my salad culture.

To enjoy the winter, we spend our weekends actively with snow in the Black Forest and practice skating.

The white snow with sunshine and the cool breeze of the wind is very energizing. I enjoy riding on my Ski, the ups and downs routes are very exciting. My little girl learned the ski technique unbelievably fast.

Let us keep active and fit and enjoy life every day!
