Home Sweet Home – Nest-boxes for Great Tit Birds

We love birds.

This winter we made three nest-boxes for Great Tit birds. We would like to put them on the trees in our garden. Great Tit are beautiful birds, they are small with yellow-white-black color and often seen in gardens. They are amazing singers. Esther, Christof, and I love them.

Building our nest-boxes was fun and interesting. I was glad for the opportunity to learn how to use different tools to build the nest. Securing the materials from a hardware store for this project is an interesting experience. I learned a lot of stuff regarding the different materials. It is just a simple box but I got a lot of lessons learned that I really treasure for the next coming projects.

Christof introduced all the tools and materials we used and helped us build the first box. During rainy days we draw something interesting on the boxes and we wrote on our messages. We are now excited to hang them soon in our fruit trees.

We hope we have now a better opportunity to observe and hear more songs from Tits with the help of our winter project, nest-boxes made full of passion and love. God bless the home of these birds!
