Truffles are very pretty and appetizing. They are the best pair with Champagne or white wine! I tried several recipes but this recipe is my favorite. Every time I introduce this recipe, people would love it and ask me immediately after my recipe.
We will be using our homemade chocolate cake for our delicious truffles. Truffles are also a good idea as a gift to our loved ones. You can fancifully decorate every piece of it according to your creativity. You can beautifully pack them to add thrill and excitement to your receiver. Last Christmas vacation, I forgot a pack of it in our office fridge. When I came back after 4 weeks. They taste still very good.
Ingredients for Chocolate Cake
- 180 ml Oil
- 250 g Flour
- 4 Tablespoon Cacao Powder
- 2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 180 g Sugar
- 80 g Peanutbutter or Nutnougatcream
- 4 Eggs
Procedure for
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
celcius . - Prepare and grease 28“ diameter round baking form.
- Separate eggwhite from eggyolk.
- Divide sugar in 2 portions (90 g). One part is for meringue (Eggwhite mixture)
- Sift all dry ingredients and combine them in a mixing bowl. Add oil, eggyolk and the nougatcream. Mix them using one direction to form a batter.
- Beat eggwhite in a separate mixing bowl. Beat them until fluffy. Add the 90g sugar gradually.
- Pour the batter gradually into the meringue and perform cut and fold procedure.
- Bake the cake for 30 minutes.
- Let it cool.
Ingredients for Truffles
- 1 pc Crumbled Chocolate Cake
- 300 g Milk Chocolate cubes
- 1 cup of Milk or Amaretto
- 300 g Chocolate Glazing

Procedure for Making Truffles
- Crumble your chocolate cake. Use rubber hand gloves to do it.
- Melt your 300 g milk chocolate cubes over hot water.
- Mix it in your crumbled cake. Use rubber hand gloves to mix them.
- Add gradually 1 cup of milk or 1 cup of Amerrato in the mixture. In my case, I use half of the cake crumble with milk (for kids) and another half with amaretto (with alcohol).
- Mix them well.
- Form balls appx. 1 inch in diameter.
- Line them in a baking form.
- Dip each ball in chocolate glazing. Using fork and spoon.
- Put them in Wax paper to dry.
- Before the chocolate coating dries, coat your Truffles with flavor or coating you desired. If they are already dried, store them in the fridge.
- Serve them with champagne or simply with your favorite tea.
