I enjoy conserving my garden harvest, especially that my husband and my ever curious girl are always on the go to help me. It is worth an effort.

To store and preserve food, it is important to use sterile utensils and containers to ensure that the processed food will not spoil or get molds.

Plum fruit is very nutritious. Plums are antioxidant and extremely rich in vitamins and minerals. They are delicious for making marmalade and baking a cake.

I would like to share my delicious plum juice recipe. It is another way of conserving my plum harvest.

This Plum juice is very thick. You can dilute the juice with water according to your taste.

Short Information

Preparation Time: 1 hour

Preparation Level: Simple

This will make 3 L Plum juice.

Ingredients

3 Kg Plum

3 L Water

150 g Sugar

Procedure

1. Wash and slice the plums and remove the seeds.

2. Put the scliced plums into a cooking pot.

3. Cook the plums for 30 mins.

4. Allow the cooked plums to cool for 3 hours or overnight. This will make the fruit tender and smooth.

5. Stir the cooked fruit to create a thick mixture.

6. Strain the mixture to extract the juice.

7. Add the sugar in the juice and allow it to boil for 10 mins.

8. Pour the hot juice in a sterilize juice container.

Tips:
