This recipe is very simple and with success guarantee. For this bread, you could add herbs or toppings of your taste.

Preparation Time: 10 mins + 60 mins to let the dough rise + another 20 mins resting the dough before baking.
Bake Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

500 g Flour (250g wheat flour and 250 g rye flour )
15 g Active Dry Yeast
1 tsp Salt
350 ml Warm Water
2 tbsp Oil
add a pinch of herbs of your choice (optional)
add nuts or seeds of your choice as toppings or coating (optional)

Procedure for Making Dough

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add water and mix them to make a dough.
  2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
  3. Cover the bowl with cloth and set aside at a warm place and let it rise for one hour.

Baking Procedure

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220 Grad celsius.
  2. Prepare and grease rectangular baking form (18 x 9 cm)
  3. Knead the dough again for approximately three minutes. Add some herbs or nuts or seeds of your choice.
  4. Set aside for another 20 minutes.
  5. Bake it for 40 minutes.
  6. Serve and Enjoy!
