I would recommend this recipe as finger food for your party. Kids would love to knead and to roll the dough and finally to savor their own self-made-stick-bread.

Preparation Time: 10 mins + 60 mins to let the dough rise + 10 mins resting the dough before baking
Bake Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

500 g Flour
7 g Active Dry Yeast
1 tsp Salt
200 ml Warm Water
60 g Margarine
4 tsp Thymian Herbs or Herbs of your choice

For Glazing

2 Cloves Garlic
1 Maggi Cubes dissolved in 80 ml Water
100 g Grated Cheese or Grated Nuts

Procedure

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add water and margarine. Mix to make a dough.
  2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes
  3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and set aside at a warm place for one hour or until the size of the dough is doubled.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celcius.
  5. Knead the dough and divide it into 24 pieces.
  6. Roll every piece to form a thin dough sticks.
  7. Put rolled dough sticks in a baking pan and set aside for 10 minutes.
  8. Chop the garlic cloves finely. Then put the chopped garlic in the Maggi cube mixture and stir them together.
  9. Glaze the garlic mixture on dough.
  10. Put grated cheese as toppings.
  11. Bake it for 20 minutes
  12. Serve and Enjoy!
