It is a bountiful and a colorful October in my garden.
There is enough rainfall and a bit more sunshine in my region this October. This exceptional October weather is doing perfect favor for my winter vegetables and the rest of my salad and cabbages.
I am thankful every day to serve my family the bounty from my garden. These garden treasures prepare our body to be stronger and healthier for the cold winter.
In October starts the autumn season. The weather is getting colder and the daytime is also getting shorter every day. Less sunlight and colder temperatures are the signals for the plants to prepare themselves for the cold winter season.
Deprived of sunlight, make the plants’ metabolism slow down and the photosynthesis stops. The forests then reveal shades of warm colors produced by pigments already present in the leaves; xantophylls, yellow the leaves of the trees while carotenes give them an orange color.
It is a spectacular time for a walk in the woods. Most of the trees are showcasing their most colorful side with the display of vibrant reds, browns, yellows, and orange color.
I love this spectacle and I always take time to be in the forest every day. I open my heart and enjoy the beauty of nature, the color, the sound, the smell and enjoy the tick tack of my heart as I experience all these nature’s masterpieces.
This autumn is something very special to me, the different mushrooms captured my attention. There were a lot of mushroom this year! There were small and big in size, rough and shiny in texture, dark and light in color, plain and mustered, edible and non-edible, hard and soft. It is fascinating to see all their beauty!
Nature is a perfect artist of life. We shall take time to enjoy the artworks that they are showing us. Nature motivates us to see the beauty of life and makes us also creative and better artists of our own life.
