My garden is gracing me with beautiful flowers every year.
I usually harvest some Roses, Lavendel and Calendula from my garden. I dry these flowers as a Luxus pamper for my skin.
I use them for a facial steam.
Roses, Lavendel, and Calendula have natural compositions that are very good for the skin. The following are some benefits we get from them.
Rose helps regenerate and balance the oil of the skin. It is very nourishing for the skin too.
Calendula, the most healing botanical, boosts the collagen of the skin, is antibacterial, and has cleansing power.
Lavendel, calming to the system (relaxing) also antibacterial.
The procedure to do facial steam is very simple. I just need a bowl enough for 3L water, a big towel to cover my head over the basin, and a handful of my dried flowers.
To do this, I cooked 1,5-liter water, put a handful of dried flowers in the bowl, and then pour the hot water into it. Position my face over the bowl with the flower mixture and cover my head with the towel. I take pleasure in breathing in and out the aroma of the flowers. Steam for about 7 to 10 minutes.
The warm steam opens the spores of the skin. The skin takes the worthful elements of the flowers during the process.
After the procedure, I wash my face with cold water. This will close the spores of the skin.
I felt so relax and so clean after this steaming ritual.
The steam mixture produces a relaxing aroma. After this ritual, I leave the mixture in the bathroom or I continue to use it as a footbath.
I do this facial steaming twice a month or if I have a special schedule.
Please take note: Do the procedure in a safe and comfortable place. I do it in the kitchen at the dining table where I can sit comfortably during the steaming procedure.
